Hyper Similars C8™ Octyl is a traditional reversed-phase HPLC stationary phase manufactured on high-purity Type-B spherical silica with a fully endcapped octyl (C8) bonded phase. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to legacy Hypersil® and Spherisorb® columns, it offers comparable chromatographic behavior for USP L7 methods while providing the moderate hydrophobic retention and reproducibility expected from a conventional C8 stationary phase. Compared to C18 columns, C8 phases generally provide reduced retention and faster elution of hydrophobic analytes.

62508-25P is a 250 mm x 4.6 mm ID analytical column packed with 5 µm, 150Å Hyper Similars C8 particles. The extended 250 mm length provides increased theoretical plate counts and greater resolving power for complex sample matrices, impurity profiling, and challenging separations where maximum resolution is required. The 5 µm particle size offers reliable performance with moderate operating pressure and broad compatibility with conventional HPLC systems. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 1.0–2.0 mL/min.
